Today was a good day I got a few things done and officially kicked off my Squat Variation Challenge! But let me be honest: I had to give up on the printable sheet I wanted to create for it. There was just too much content to fit onto one page, and even trying to stretch it into five pages became a mess. After spending 7 to 8 hours yesterday (working until midnight) and then waking up and putting more hours in today, I finally said enough.
So here's what I'm doing instead:
I’ll be posting the challenge daily on my social media platforms, and it will always be up on my website as well. I really wanted to offer a printable version because I know not everyone has time to check social media every day. I’ll definitely keep that in mind when creating future challenges.
This squat challenge means a lot to me, especially because I do close to 300 squats a day in different variations. I wanted to make this one a little more intense but if you need to modify it, please do. The point is not to push your body into pain. These challenges are meant to be fun, empowering, and goal-driven not punishing.
Listen: I love pushing myself. I’m a total cardio junkie (30+ minutes a day on my treadmill!), plus I’m constantly running around, lifting weights, doing squats I’m always trying to be in the best shape I can. And yeah, there are still areas I want to improve. But the truth is, you can’t spot-target fat or fix one area only. It takes full-body work, resistance, weight training, cardio, and most importantly a solid diet.
And when you’ve got health issues like I do things get more complicated. Between my pancreas issues, where sometimes my body won’t absorb nutrients even when I’m eating well, and pelvic disease, where too much or too little movement causes pain it’s a lot to manage. But I’m still here, doing what I can, and always trying to make the best of the cards I’ve been dealt.
I know so many of you are dealing with your own challenges, whether physical, mental, or emotional. And I want these challenges whether fitness or mindset-based to remind you that you are not alone. I struggle. Others struggle. And we can still do hard things.
No matter what “hard” looks like for you you’re amazing. Truly.
Never forget that.
