Today was definitely a busy one, but you won’t hear me complaining sometimes those are the most rewarding days. It all started with an early morning appointment, and from there, it felt like nonstop movement. But hey, that’s what keeps life interesting!
I had originally planned to get outside for Day 12 of my 30-Day Movement Challenge. But just as I was getting ready… cue the thunder and lightning! So we pivoted, and I moved my workout inside, which honestly turned into such a beautiful moment. My granddaughter joined me music playing, her dancing around with the biggest smile on her face. She always loves being near me when I work out, and it’s the sweetest thing. Afterward, she jumped on the treadmill for a few minutes, and grabbed the yoga mat to stretch, just like she’s been doing since she was tiny.
Lately, with me fully back in my fitness groove, she’s been remembering how much she loved movement, especially back when she did gymnastics. It’s amazing to witness her reconnect with those memories and find joy in movement again.
After all that, she settled into her usual game time with her uncle it’s their little tradition and I started wrapping up some tasks. I’m hoping to wind down tonight with one of the books I picked up recently. I’ve got a good stack going, and since I’m a super fast reader (especially when it comes to nonfiction, quotes, or poetry), I’m excited to dive in.
And of course, music has been playing nonstop in our house, like always. Some days the TV doesn’t even get turned on just rhythms, dancing, laughter, and good vibes. Honestly, that’s the kind of home I love the most.
The lightning is still rolling outside, so I’m shutting down my computer for the night. I hope your Tuesday was kind to you and if it wasn’t, I hope tomorrow brings something bright and comforting your way. Remember: you’re doing amazing, and even when it’s stormy, your light still shines.
